Morocco - Tinghir, Todra Gorge & Merzouga Desert

Today we left our hotel at 9 and headed for the desert to watch the sunset. Our first stop was Tinghir. We visitied another Kasbah and a farm. A Tour guide explained their way of farming and the different plants they use for natural dye which I found really interesting

While in Tinghir we visited a carpet shop, had some mint tea and learned about the process that goes into making carpets. Due to low space in our suitcases and this carpet shop visit happening at the start of our visit we regrettably decided not to buy a carpet.

Our Second stop and one of the top sights I wanted to see in Morocco was the Todra Gorge. They were magnificent although we didn't have the opportunity to do the short hike recommended. The views of the Todra Gorge were limiting but still amazing.

At our final stop we were met my 11 camels which we mounted and disappeared into the desert to watch the sunset. The camels were a little uncomfortable after awhile however we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. When we arrived at the camp we had mint tea and dinner and were entertained by their band.
